Expedited Funds Availability Act (Regulation CC)

The length of delay for availability of deposits is counted in business days from the day of your deposit. Every day except Saturday, Sunday and a federal holiday is a business day. A deposit to an ATM before 3:00 p.m. is considered a deposit for that business day. Deposits after these times or on a day we are not open will be considered made on the next business day we are open.

SAME DAY AVAILABILTY - Funds from electronic direct deposits to your account will be available on the day we receive the deposit.

NEXT DAY AVAILABILTY - Funds from the following deposits are available on the first business day after the day of your deposit: U.S. Treasury checks that are payable to you; Wire transfers; Checks drawn on the Police and Fire Federal Credit Union.

If you make the deposit in person to one of our employees, funds from the following deposits are also available on the first business day after the day of your deposit: Cash; State and local government checks that are payable to you, cashier’s, certified, and teller’s checks that are payable to you; Federal Reserve bank checks, Federal Home Loan Bank checks, and postal money orders, if these items are payable to you.

If you do not make your deposit to one of our employees, in person, funds from these deposits will be available on the second business day after we receive your deposit.

$200.00 of a deposit containing all other checks, except deposits made at foreign (non proprietary) ATMs.

SECOND DAY AVAILABILITY - All other check deposits.

LONGER DELAYS - Longer delays may occur if we believe a check you deposit will not be paid, your account has been open less than 30 days, your total deposit for one day exceeds $5,000.00, you redeposit a check that has been returned unpaid, you have a repeatedly overdrawn account in the past six months, a bank emergency, or PFFCU has reasonable cause to doubt collectability. In such cases, you will be notified of the delay, and generally, the money will be available no later than the seventh business day after the deposit.

DEPOSITS AT AUTOMATED TELLER MACHINES
Funds from any deposits (cash or checks) made at automated teller machines we do not own or operate will not be available until the fifth business day after the day of your deposit. This rule does not apply at ATMs we own or operate. A list of ATMs we own or operate (Police and Fire Federal Credit Union ATMs) can be found at www.PFFCU.org or by contacting us at 215-931-0300/800-228-8801.

SPECIAL RULES FOR NEW ACCOUNTS - If you are a new member, the following special rules will apply during the first 30 days your account is open.

Funds from electronic direct deposits to your account will be available on the day we receive the deposit. Funds from deposits of cash, wire transfers, and the first $5,000 of a day’s total deposits of cashier’s, certified, teller’s, traveler’s and federal, state and local government checks will be available on the first business day after the day of your deposit, if they are payable to you. The excess over $5,000 will be available on the ninth business day after the date of your deposit. If your deposit of these checks (other than a U.S. Treasury check) is not made in person to one of our employees, the first $5,000 will not be made available until the second business day after the date of your deposit.

Funds from all other check deposits will be available on the seventh business day after the date of your deposit.
