What do I need to use Samsung Pay?
  • A compatible Samsung device1
  • A PFFCU Debit and/or Credit Card
  • A Samsung account
  • A registered fingerprint or Samsung Pay PIN

If compatible, newer devices will have Samsung Pay preloaded. Your Samsung Galaxy device may require a software update to download Samsung Pay.

How do I install and set up Samsung Pay?

To Install Samsung Pay:
(If the App isn’t installed on your device, go to Google Play Store, download the Samsung Pay App)

  • Navigate to and tap Apps > Samsung Pay.
  • Tap Install.
  • To open, tap Open.

To set up Samsung Pay:

  • Navigate to and tap Apps > Samsung Pay.
  • Tap Start.
  • Enter your Samsung account information, tap Sign In.
    If you do not have a Samsung account, create one by tapping Sign Up.
  • Review Samsung Pay Terms of Service, tap Agree To All.
  • To assign your fingerprint as the verification method, tap Use Fingerprint.
    If you have not registered your fingerprint on your device, you will need to do so.
  • To assign a 4-digit Samsung Pay PIN instead of your fingerprint, tap Skip & Use Samsung Pay PIN.
How do I add a PFFCU Debit Card in Samsung Pay?
  • Navigate to and tap Apps > Samsung Pay.
  • Tap Add.
  • Tap Add a Debit Card.
  • Align your card inside the frame. Samsung Pay will automatically detect the card number and expiration date. (If your phone cannot detect the card information, tap Enter Card Manually).
  • Enter any remaining required information, tap Next.
  • Review the Terms and Service, tap Agree To All.
  • To authenticate your identity, touch the desired verification method.
  • Enter your signature by signing on your phone’s screen, tap Save.
  • To complete the process, tap Done.
How do I add a PFFCU Credit Card in Samsung Pay?
  • Navigate to and tap Apps > Samsung Pay.
  • Tap Add.
  • Tap Add a Credit Card.
  • Align your card inside the frame. Samsung Pay will automatically detect the card number and expiration date. (If your phone cannot detect the card information, tap Enter Card Manually).

How do I make my PFFCU Debit Card my default card in Samsung Pay?

The last card you used to make a purchase with Samsung Pay, will automatically appear as your default card the next time you open the app. If your PFFCU Debit Card is not your default card, swipe to view all the cards you have added and select your PFFCU Debit Card before making a purchase. Your PFFCU Debit Card will become your default card.

How do I make my PFFCU Credit Card my default card in Samsung Pay?

The last card you used to make a purchase with Samsung Pay, will automatically appear as your default card the next time you open the app. If your PFFCU Credit Card is not your default card, swipe to view all the cards you have added and select your PFFCU Credit Card before making a purchase. Your PFFCU Credit Card will become your default card.

How do I pay with Samsung Pay?

In Stores: Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access your PFFCU Debit or Credit Card. To verify your identity, place your finger on the Home button. To use Samsung Pay PIN, tap PIN, then enter your 4-digit PIN. To make a payment, place the back of your device on the card reader.

Within Apps: Select Samsung Pay at checkout and authenticate the purchase with your fingerprint or enter your Samsung Pay PIN.

Is Samsung Pay Safe & Secure?

Samsung Pay is a safe way to pay. Samsung Pay uses tokenization and authentication methods to secure your information. Samsung does not store or have access to the payment information added to Samsung Pay. When you make a payment, the merchant will only receive a token, and your payment information will be kept secure.
