John LaRosa, Treasurer & CEO

John LaRosa is PFFCU’s Chief Executive Officer and Treasurer of the Board of Directors. John began his career with PFFCU in 1990 as Chief Financial Officer and was PFFCU’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) from 1992 to 2004. He joined the Board of Directors in 1996 and became CEO in 2005.

Since 1992, John has had responsibility for the day-to-day management of PFFCU’s Lending, Branch & Call Center Member Service, Marketing, Information Systems, and Accounting functions. John is the Management Team leader with responsibility for the development and implementation of PFFCU’s annual business plan and product strategy. He has direct management responsibility for PFFCU’s budget, investments and interest rate risk management.

Prior to joining PFFCU, John was a Project Engineer with Martin Marietta Ocean Systems Division and a Project Engineer with GE Government Electronic Systems Division.

John holds an MBA with a concentration in Accounting from Drexel University; a Master of Science Degree in Finance from Loyola College; and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from Drexel University.

John was a member of the Board of Trustees of Drexel University from 1998 to 2007. While on the Drexel board, he served as Chairman of the Audit Committee, Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee, and as a member of the Finance Committee. In 1999, John was appointed to the Board of Trustees of Philadelphia Health and Education Corporation, which helped rescue the MCP-Hahnemann Medical School from bankruptcy. John was on the Board of Trustees of the Drexel University College of Medicine from 1999 to 2007 and was the Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Board. He was a member of the Credit Union Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia from 2000 to 2003.
